Five-Fold Ministry Defined (IN THE GREEK TRANSLATION)

Apostle Means: 
 One Sent Forth, a Sent One

Prophet Means: 
 One who speaks for God of divine events

Evangelist Means:
 A messenger of Gospel

Pastor Means:
 One who tends herd of flocks, guides as well as feeds the flock, oversees

Teacher Means: 
 An instructor necessary for unity, growth, maturity and equipping believers for service
 

THE PURPOSE OF THE FIVEFOLD MINISTRY

• Prepare God’s people for works of service
• Build up the body for Christ
• Bring the body to unity in the faith
• Teach the knowledge of the Son of God
• Bring believers to a place of maturity
• Bring to the fullness of Christ
